NFL Teams Odds 2021

Following an unusual twist in the 2020 NFL season, which saw seven teams from each conference reach the postseason in the playoffs, the schedule has been expanded to 17 games for 2021. Oddsmakers had to adjust for NFL playoff odds.

BetOnline’s latest NFL playoff odds show that the Kansas City Chiefs (1200) and Tampa Bay Buccaneers (605), who just finished playing in Super Bowl 55, are the most likely to be in the NFL postseason 2021. The Houston Texans are at -1200, and the Detroit Lions are at -900.

The uncertain status of Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback of the Green Bay Packers, is affecting the Packers’ chances of making the NFL playoffs. Once Green Bay has more information about Rodgers’ future, the odds will be updated.

After the release of the NFL schedule on May 12, the NFL playoff odds for each team were slightly adjusted to reflect the upcoming season. Also included was the projected win totals for each team. If you don’t want to wait until September, some sportsbooks have opening odds for Week 1 available.

Below are some teams you should keep an eye on.

NFL Playoffs: Team to Make

Los Angeles Chargers +120

The Los Angeles Chargers are in the same division as the Kansas City Chiefs. However, Justin Herbert’s emergence is giving the franchise some credibility. This was an amazing feat for a team still in transition following the departure of San Diego’s longtime QB Philip Rivers.

The Chargers boast a roster that rivals many other teams in the NFL. They are bringing back safety Derwin Jones, who was an All-Pro rookie in 2018, but has only played five games the past two seasons because of injury. Opposing defenses will have a difficult time stopping a Chargers team that ranks in the top half in points per match. Herbert and the Chargers are a formidable offensive threat.

Another reason to consider Chargers is the strength of their schedule. Los Angeles has only four games against teams that were playoff-teams in 2020, and Los Angeles is obligated to play the Chiefs twice. The Chargers have completely restructured their coaching staff, so it could be a wild card year for the team in powder-blue.
