Ottawa Redblacks Odds | Bet On Ottawa Redblacks Games

CFL will be back in 2021, with a 14-game schedule running from August through November. CFL’s schedule typically consists of an 18-game schedule, with three bye weeks. The CFL took a while to create their season plan after last year’s complete collapse. The CFL did not play one game, despite professional sports leagues having figured out how they could play and eventually award a champion.

This league is gate-driven, with ticket sales accounting for a large portion of their revenues. With limited attendance, fans will be welcome back. The Ottawa Redblacks and two other Ontario teams are allowed to have up to 15,000 spectators at their games. It’s not clear if this will help the Redblacks chances, and Paul LaPolice may not agree. However, the Redblacks are looking to improve on their 3-15 season in 2019.

In their brief existence, the Redblacks have seen a lot of everything. Since 2014, the Redblacks were at the bottom and top of the CFL. The Grey Cup was won by the Redblacks in 2016 thanks to veteran quarterback Henry Burris. Burris was able to retire with a championship at the perfect time.

For five years, the Redblacks have been looking for the perfect quarterback to replace Burris. They began 2019 well with wins over the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Calgary Stampeders. Their season was ended by Dominique Davis’ lower body injury in Week 4. The Redblacks lost 31-1 against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers the next week and knew they were in serious trouble.

Davis tried to return to the starting line-up in August, but he was not able to. LaPolice is an assistant coach who has been a successful coach for the past several years but has not been the team’s bench boss since 2012. After a brief stint in broadcasting, he was the Blue Bombers’ head coach from 2010-12. He then returned to the role of offensive coordinator from 2016-19 2019. Check out the Ottawa Redblacks 2021 preview.

Prediction for the Season of Ottawa Redblacks

Matt Nichols should feel happy to be back with his former offensive coach. He goes to a team that is inexperienced and doesn’t have a home run hitter. Jalen Saunders and Alex Mateas have all been hurt by a team already struggling in 2019. Although Nichols is a reliable quarterback, a young player will need to give him something to do. The defence will see some improvement, thanks to solid veteran signings. However, it won’t be enough to compensate for the sloppy offense. Their veteran defensive additions will help them improve their 2019 record of 3-15, but it is unlikely that they will be able to win the Grey Cup.
