Single-game wagering in Canada is prohibited. Sports betting is legal. The provinces have the right to regulate and manage their own products. However, there cannot be single-game wagers. What does this all mean? Only multi-leg parlay bets can be placed at Canadian sports betting websites.
PlayNow.com vs Offshore Betting Sites
PlayNow.com is an excellent online betting website. This is a positive step in the right direction in Canada for government-run sports betting. The odds are fair, and the sportsbook offers a variety betting options. The site is comparable to the three online betting sites I recommend for Canadians.
My recommended sportsbooks still have PlayNow in the second place for bonuses and betting restrictions. PlayNow doesn’t offer a bonus. However, each of my recommended sites offers a minimum $200 bonus for new players. PlayNow does not allow parlays to be placed. To place a bet, you must wager on at most 2 games of a parlay ticket.
