Only one of the 88 players in 2021 Masters can win a career grand Slam. Rory McIlroy has only one major championship win to his name, as he is 0-for-12 at Augusta National. McIlroy has had six top-10 finishes in his seven Masters tournaments, but hasn’t been able get over the hump. McIlroy will have another shot at that all-elusive victory Thursday when he plays in the 2021 Masters.

McIlroy is a favorite at William Hill Sportsbook. His 2021 Masters odds are 14-1. He is one of only five golfers with better Masters odds in 2021, alongside Justin Thomas (10-1), Bryson deChambeau (11) and Jon Rahm (12-1). McIlroy is also searching for his first green jacket. Be sure to check out the SportsLine computer model for 2021 Masters predictions. SportsLine’s prediction engine, created by Mike McClure (DFS pro), has been a blazer since June’s return to the PGA Tour. It’s actually up nearly $10,000 on its best predictions since the restart, winning tournament after tournament.

McClure won Daniel Berger’s victory at +1400 at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am last month in one of his best bets. McClure was also a big fan of Viktor Hovland’s (+2500), victory at the Mayakoba Golf Classic last December. This was just one of many big calls McClure has made over the past few months.

McClure won the Sanderson Farms Championship after finishing with Sergio Garcia (+5500), and he earned over $6,200 on his best bets. McClure was able to place Garcia in the top five right from the beginning. He was also profitable at the U.S. Open. He won two of his most successful bets, including a top-five +1100 bet on Matthew Wolff.

The same model also won six majors, including Patrick Reed’s victory at Augusta in 2018. Its golf picks have brought in huge returns for anyone who has followed them.

SportsLine has now simulated the 2021 Masters field 10,000 times and the results are amazing. Visit SportsLine to view the projected leaderboard.

Top 2021 Masters predictions by the model

The model calls for a huge surprise at the Masters 2021. Bryson de Chambeau, the current U.S. Open champion, and one of the top favourites, barely cracks top 10. DeChambeau was one of the most popular players on tour this year, finishing at the top of the leaderboard at both the U.S. Open & Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Eight-time PGA Tour champion DeChambeau continues to smash the ball off the tee. He averages over 320 yards per drive this year, which ranks him first on the tour. DeChambeau is ranked among the top 10 for birdie average, scoring average, and strokes gained from tee to green.

DeChambeau hits less than 60% of fairways from the tee which can lead to problems at Augusta National. This was evident in DeChambeau’s 34th place finish at the Masters. DeChambeau isn’t a strong choice to win it all. There are better options in the Masters 2021 field.
